Circuit Supply is proud to be supporting URBOND with a project that will bring solar power to a school in Koutaya, Guinea.
The school, built through the support of URBOND, its partners and volunteers, opened its doors to children last year, providing access to education for children in the local community. However, with no access to mains electricity, the school has faced the ongoing challenge of securing a reliable source of power.
Circuit Supply has been able to play a part in the next stage of the project, sourcing the solar panels for a new solar power system and supplying electrical tool kits for the local team. These will be used to help install the system and support its ongoing maintenance in the years ahead.
Everything required for the installation has now been loaded into a container and has begun its journey to Guinea.
Once installed, the new solar system will provide clean, dependable electricity for the school, supporting education during the day while opening up new possibilities for the building to serve the wider community beyond school hours.
We’re proud to have played a part in helping make the project possible and look forward to sharing more as the equipment arrives in Koutaya and work on the installation gets underway.
